"I hold that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing."

Thomas Jefferson

As a nation, 250 years ago, we were able to break away from tyranny and oppression. As individuals, we often have no power over the external. But we always have the power to change the internal. The battle, the revolution, is fought against ourselves, internally.

Our founding fathers decided a change was necessary, and took action. If we see change is necessary, we too must take action. Change and growth come through revolution. Revolt against the old self. It will come with pain. It will come with loss. The old self must die for a new self to emerge. Parts of ourselves we hold onto tightly, will have to be let go. The tyranny and oppression we experience in our own minds was formed starting in childhood. The thoughts and ideas that hold us back are not our own. They were formed over years of "downloading" outside stimuli, then replayed by our mind in an effort to keep us alive (surviving).

Start your own revolution...

...and Happy Indepence Day!
